so she can change into a silver wetsuit and helmet and lower herself into this vent

The scene shifts slightly to this clearly-labeled Project Black Hole facility


Dixon gets the director of research to get him to a terminal to research a bogus lead,
the word "countershadow"

Meanwhile, Sydney's in the steam vent, getting mighty hot
but stopped by a locked gate


Dixon takes a moment alone to pray for his daughter ...

and to break into the security system to unlock the grate so Syd doesn't overcook

which lets Syd enter the facility and land in a museum-type room
